Margaret Cusick

Margaret Ann Cusick, 60, of Duenweg, Missouri, passed away December 28, 2020 at Mercy Hospital in Joplin after a battle with cancer.

Margaret was born July 6, 1960 in Joplin to the union of Kenneth and Isabella (Kalauokaaea) Hosp. She was a 1978 graduate of Parkwood High School in Joplin. 

 Margaret was the store manager of Casey’s for over 12 years and managed the 66 Store in Duenweg for the last five years. 








 Over the years, she collected anything and everything involving bears. In her earlier years, she enjoyed sewing of all kinds. Margaret was competitive by nature and loved sports, especially her Kansas City Chiefs and her Chicago Cubs. Above all, Margaret loved her family, especially her grandchildren. She was always kind, generous and helpful to those in need. She lived simply, always remembered the important things, and she was down to earth. Margaret will be greatly missed.

On May 16, 2015, she was united in marriage to Lonny Hill and he survives. Additional survivors include her children, Craig Cusack and wife, Vanessa, of Webb City, Sherry Smith and husband, Jared, of Joplin, Carl Cusick, Jr. and wife, Bonnie, of Webb City, and Scott Cusick and wife, Devin, of Carl Junction; 21 grandchildren; two brothers, Kenny Hosp, Jr. and wife, Angela, and Danny Hosp and wife, Chris Fraughton, of Joplin; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Kathy Jensen.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 4, 2021 at First Baptist Church in Duenweg with Pastor Kenny Arnold officiating. Burial will follow at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery in Joplin. Those honoring her life by serving as pallbearers are Jake Stephens, Greg McGinnis, Scott Cusick, Carl Cusick, Jr., Jake Crouch and Jerome Olivas. The family will receive friends for visitation at 11:00 a.m. Monday at the church until service time.

Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin, Missouri.
