(From Clark Funeral Home)James S. Harris, 78, Goodman, MO entered into rest December 28, 2020. He was born June 6, 1942 in Neosho, MO to Hazel Mae (Myers) and Frank Martin Harris.
James worked in the maintenance department at La-Z-Boy Midwest for 30 years before retiring in 1997. He was a member of Word and Spirit Revival Tabernacle in Goodman.
James enjoyed hunting, fishing, building, family gatherings, horses and wagons, and farming.
James and Darlene (McKinney) Harris were married April 27, 1977 in Neosho, MO; Darlene survives of the home.
Additional survivors include five children: Bill Harris and wife, Susan of Neosho, Bobby Harris and wife, Joleta of Neosho, Kristy Lewis and husband, Robert of Neosho, Angela Stuckey and husband, Jason of Carthage, and Travis Harris and wife, Tammy of Neosho; one sister, Madonna Ferguson-Taylor and husband, Mac of Bentonville, AR; fifteen grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.
James was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter, Jeanette Marie Harris, who passed on August 15, 1961.
A memorial visitation will be held Sunday, January 3, 2021 at Clark Funeral Home, Neosho from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm. Graveside services will be 1:00 pm, Monday, January 4, 2021 at Union Cemetery, Longview, MO. Reverend Rex Robertson and Brother Duane Barnett will officiate.
