Sue Hymer

Sandra Sue “Sue” Hymer, 71, of Joplin, passed away Wednesday, December 23, 2020, at her home.

Sue was born August 23, 1949, in Newton County, Missouri, to the late Roy Tate and Gracie (Byrd) Tate. She lived in the Joplin area most of her life.

Sue was a homemaker, and loved praising her savior Jesus Christ. She enjoyed listening to country and Christian music. She will be missed by all those who knew and loved her.

On August 18, 1976, Sue was united in marriage to Jimmy J. Hymer in Miami, Oklahoma and together they shared 44 years. He survives at the home. She is also survived by a host of friends whom she cared about very much.

Cremation arrangements are under the care and direction of Parker Mortuary.
