Beverly Ann Molloy, age 88, passed away at 11:09 am, Friday, July 25, 2025, at her son’s home in Joplin following an illness.
Beverly was born on May 15, 1937, in Galena, KS. Her parents were Joseph Henry and Cleo Elizabeth (Roy) Cagle.
She was raised in Galena and graduated from Galena High School in 1955. She then moved to Joplin in 1965 and has lived there ever since. She worked in food service for the Joplin Schools, serving as the manager of the cafeterias at Jefferson Elementary, and later at Joplin High School. Beverly retired in 2012 after 38 years of service.
She was a member of 6th Street Baptist Church, Galena, KS and the Joplin School Food Service Association (JSFSA) . She enjoyed artwork, especially painting, going shopping, and watching movies.
Beverly was married to Kenneth Gibson Molloy on October 8, 1955 in Galena. He passed away August 17, 1986. She was also preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, Marjorie Friess, Joseph Cagle and Donnie Cagle.
Surviving are two sons, Anthony Joe Molloy (Crystal Powers), and James Russell (Russ) Molloy, both of Joplin; one daughter, Nancy Elizabeth Harding (Michael), Las Vegas, NV; and son grandson, Brandon Molloy.
Graveside service will be at 10:00 am, Wednesday July 30, 2025 at Hill Crest Cemetery, Galena, KS. Pastor Aaron Polok will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Derfelt Funeral Home, Galena, KS.
