Travis Stevens

(From Parker Mortuary)

Travis Richard Stevens, a cherished member of his community and a beacon of dedication and kindness, passed away on July 24, 2025, in Joplin, MO, at the age of 46. He was born on April 9, 1979, in Loveland, CO, to Richard Stevens and Karen (Savoy) Rees.

For 26 years, Travis served with distinction in the Postal Service, beginning his career in Loveland, Colorado, and later serving as Postmaster in Wellington, CO, Webb City, MO, and Pineville, MO. His commitment to his work was paralleled only by his passion for mentoring and training his colleagues. He took great pride in his ability to help others, earning the respect and affection of everyone who had the pleasure of working with him.

On June 1, 2002, Travis married Bobbie Griffy and to that union, they had 2 sons; Alex and Zach. Travis was a wonderful husband and father and enjoyed spending time with his family.

Travis's interests were as vast as the great outdoors he so loved. An avid fisherman and hunter, he found peace and solace in the embrace of nature. He enjoyed his days of working on his ranch in Colorado. His enthusiasm for beekeeping and home brewing was infectious, and he was particularly proud of his homegrown hops, which he used to craft unique beers that were the highlight of many gatherings. Travis also had a talent for welding and a keen eye for antiques. His love for football and baseball was not confined to the sidelines; he poured his heart into coaching his son's teams, instilling in them the values of teamwork, perseverance, and sportsmanship.

Travis's legacy is one of unwavering support and generosity. He was the person you could always count on to lend a hand, offer a word of encouragement, or share a skill. His absence will be deeply felt by his colleagues, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know him.

Travis is survived by his wife, Bobbie Stevens; children, Alex Stevens and Zach Stevens; mother Karen Rees (Tim); father, Richard Stevens (Linda); brother, Lucas Stevens (Diana); step-sisters, Ashley Arthur (Jared) and Sarah Simonton (Jon); grandmother, Wanda Savoy; and mother-in-law, Marvell Griffy.

A funeral service will be held on August 1, 2025 at 2:30 p.m. at Resthaven Memory Gardens in Fort Collins, Colorado.
