Michael Lee Coy of Grove, OK passed from this life on Wednesday, July 23, 2025 at his home. He was 72.

Michael was born October 14, 1952 in Granby, MO to Frank and Dolly (Byrd) Coy. He had lived in Grove for the past year moving from Miami, OK. Michael served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era. He had worked for Ford Motor Company in Kansas City, MO and was a painter for Claude McDowell Painting in Grove, OK. He was a member of Cayuga Mission Church in Grove, OK.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother, Donald Coy.

Michael is survived by his wife Julie (Berryman) Coy of the home. 1 daughter, Betty Jo Brown of Miami, OK, 6 sisters, Sharon Park of Fairland, OK, Karen Coy of Oronogo, MO, Diane Coy of Joplin, MO, Lori Coy of Joplin, MO, Lacey Kalm of Nevada, MO and Shawne Andrews of Neosho, MO and 5 grandchildren, Adriana Brown, Maleigha Brown, Imani Brown, Khrystopher Brown, Jr. and Isaiah Brown.

Funeral serves will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at Paul Thomas Funeral Home Chapel in Miami, OK. Rev. Tony King will officiate. Interment will be in Hazelgreen Cemetery in Neosho, MO with military Rites conducted by Grove Veterans Funeral Detail. Serving as pallbearers will be Jerry Baker, Danny Mahurin, Kevin Baker, Rocky Baker, Airon Baker and Scott Fleming. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Brian Baker, Timothy Fleming, Matthew Mahurin, Khrystopher Brown, Isaiah Brown and Jimmy Wallis. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 29, 2025 at the funeral home chapel. Services have been placed in care of Paul Thomas Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Miami, OK.
