(From Midland Cremation Society)Linda Sue Fenton age 79 passed away peacefully into the arms of Jesus on July 22, 2025, in Joplin, MO. She was born September 22, 1945, to Ellen and George Sheldon in Hooker, Mo. She accepted Jesus into her heart on July 15, 2025, which gives us peace to know she is rejoicing in heaven!
Linda was raised in Dixon, Missouri where she lived most of her life. She was a cook at the dining halls in Fort Leonard Wood for many years before building her own restaurant in the town she called home.
She was the proud owner of Linda’s Family Restaurant for over 25 years. She made customers feel like family and was known for her hard-working nature, generosity, and lest we forget, her sassiness!
Those left to mourn her loss are her daughters, Tammy Sue Manes (husband Rick), Malinda DiBlasi (Husband Vince), and Glenda Schepers (husband Robert). Grandchildren, Mallory, Gavin, Megan, Andrew, Jackson, Ethan, Trenton, Isabella, Eric, Anthony, Brandy. Great grandchildren, Trinity, Ella, Evan, Kendra, Klay, Kasen, Kane, Myrissa, Chase, Sophia, Miley, and Bailey. Great Great Grandchildren, Elijah and Hudson. Brothers, Butch Null, and Lonnie (Patricia) Sheldon. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends who became family.
She was preceded in death by one son Ricky Fenton, mother Ellen Null, father George Sheldon, stepfather Dave Null, grandchildren Richy and Sammy Sherrell, Frances Fenton, Brothers Harvey Sheldon, Billy Joe Null, Donald Sheldon, Sisters Wilma Massey, June Rollins, Ruth Lachowitz, and Joyce Richards, and her beloved doggy boys, BooBoo and Harvey.
Celebration of life will be held at Pisgah Baptist Church 14446 Columbia Rd. Dixon, MO Saturday August 2nd, 2025, at 12 noon with a visitation from 11:00am- 12noon.
