Joseph Wimsatt

Joseph (Joey) Dewayne Wimsatt of Neosho, Missouri, passed away after a brief illness on July 17, 2025, at the age of 44. Born on August 18, 1980, in Joplin, Missouri, he was the son of Timothy Wimsatt and Latricia (Eramo) Olinghouse.

A 1998 graduate of East Newton High School, Joseph was known for his work ethic and dedication to and helping others and a big smile. He worked in architectural production.







Joseph had a passion for collecting sports cards—football, baseball, and hockey—and took pride in his growing collection. He also found great joy in coaching his son’s soccer teams and PeeWee football.

He is survived by his children, Payton and Raylan Wimsatt; his mother, Latricia (Dean) Olinghouse; his maternal grandmother, Patricia (Burt) Anderson of Donna, Texas; his uncle, Rick (Dee) Eramo and family of Neosho, Missouri; his aunt, Sherry Carver of Inola, Oklahoma; and his great-aunt, Julie Clark and family of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, along with many many friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Timothy Wimsatt; three brothers, Nathaniel, Nick, and Kyle Wimsatt; his maternal grandfather, Nicholas Eramo; and his paternal grandparents, Joseph and Fern Wimsatt.






A Celebration of Life will be August 8, 2025 at 5:30pm held at Clark Funeral Home - Chapel of Memories.

Joseph will be remembered for his devotion to family, his love of sports, and his quiet generosity. He leaves behind a legacy of perseverance, kindness, and care for others.
