Jerry Buxton

Jerry Ann Buxton, 88, passed away peacefully on July 20, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Known for her radiant smile and boundless joy, she leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories.

Born on January 19, 1937, in Cotter, Arkansas, Jerry lived a vibrant life defined by her devotion to family and her passion for connecting with people with her successful travel agency, where she helped countless individuals explore the world, reflecting her own love for adventure and discovery.







Jerry was the heart of her family, a nurturing matriarch whose warmth and humor lit up every gathering. Whether cracking a joke or talking your leg off, her infectious positivity created lasting bonds across generations. Her laughter and exceptional faith in God touched everyone she met, leaving an indelible mark on her community.

Jerry is survived by her daughter-in-law, Ruth Buxton, son, Steve Buxton, grandchildren, Chris (Tara) Buxton and Brad (Amanda) Buxton, great-grandchildren Annabella, Beau, and Charlie Buxton, and four great-great-grandchildren. Jerri was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Katherine (Vance) Sharp, her brother, Bill Sharp, her husband, J.O. Buxton, and her beloved son, Curtis Buxton.





A funeral service to celebrate Jerry’s life will be held at Mason-Woodard Mortuary with Mark Scott officiating, on Friday July 25, 2025, at 2:00pm. Burial will follow at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 24, 2025, from 7:00pm-8:00pm.

Jerry’s love and joy will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Her family invites you to share in her memory by living with kindness and embracing life’s adventures.
