(From Mason-Woodard Mortuary)Jimmy L. Howard, 85, of Diamond, Missouri passed away on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at St. Luke’s Nursing Center in Carthage, Missouri.
Jimmy was born on June 15, 1940, at Toccoa, Georgia.
He had resided in Diamond, Missouri since 2002, moving from North Carolina.
He was a Welder for Distribution Construction Company for nearly 40 years before retiring in 2002.
He was a member of the Diamond Christian Church.
He enjoyed working in the yard, watching NASCAR and was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan.
He married Evelyn Boyd on July 18, 1982, in Grand Island, Nebraska and she survives.
Other survivors include one son; Danny Howard of Burlington, North Carolina and one daughter; Sharmin Lyons of Gibsonville, North Carolina, five Grandchildren and nine Great-Grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; James Lewis Howard and Sarah B. Cleveland and his four sisters.
There will be a Committal of Cremains to be held at a later date, where Virgil Eubanks and Randy Martin will officiate.
