Pearl Clark

 Pearl Clark, age 97, of Columbus, Kansas passed away at 3:15 p.m. Sunday, November 10, 2013 at the Medical Lodge in Columbus following a three month illness. Pearl was born November 15, 1915 in Kanarado, Kansas. She came to the Columbus area in 1937. She lived in Webb City, Mo. from the early 70’s to mid 80’s and assisted her daughter in the operation of the Variety Auction. Pearl attended the United Methodist Church.

Pearl was married to Clifford “Lee” Clark September 7, 1937. He preceded her in death in 1967. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Geneva Packer, two sisters and eight brothers. Survivors include two sons, Donald “Gene” Clark and wife Shelva, and John Clark and wife Caroline, all of Columbus, Kansas, fourteen grandchildren, thirty eight great grandchildren, and twenty nine great great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday at the Messer Cemetery, east of Crestline, Kansas with Pastor Dennis Johnson officiating. Those honoring her life by serving as pallbearers will be Doug Anderson, Leonard Wigton, Darrell Wigton, Dustin Clark, Kevin Clark, and Darrell Clark. Visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. Thursday at the Funeral Home. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Hedge-Lewis Funeral Home of Webb City, Mo.
