Theodore ‘Scottie’ Scott Horine, Jr., 92, Neosho, died Nov. 13, 2013 at his home, following a short illness.
Scottie was born March 1, 1921 in Fullerton, CA. He owned and operated retail grocery stores in California, Nevada and Oregon and after moving to Neosho, he worked at Family Market and at L. and S. Foods in Wheaton. He was an avid fisherman and gardener and a member of the Racine Christian Church.
Scottie and Elizabeth ‘Betty’ Ann Jones were married on Feb. 14, 2009 and she survives. He is also survived by a son, Steve Horine and a daughter, Mary Horine, both of Neosho; 8 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Ardys Smith.
