Shelia was a graduate of Carthage High School. Those who knew her best remember her as a loving and faith-filled woman whose gentle spirit touched many lives.

On July 18, 1970, Shelia was united in marriage to Richard “Dick” Hasselbring, and the two shared forty-four wonderful years together until his passing on December 10, 2014. Their marriage was a true partnership filled with cherished memories, mutual support, and enduring love. Together they made their home in Sarcoxie and later in Shell Knob, Missouri, before she moved to Jackson, Tennessee, to be near her daughter Amy and husband, Kevin. Through every season of life, Shelia remained a devoted wife, mother, and family member whose presence brought comfort and strength to those around her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; mother-in-law, Judy Hasselbring, and nephew, Seth Kyle. Her family was central to her life, and she treasured the bonds she shared with each of them.

For more than forty years, Shelia served as an executive assistant and payroll clerk for Schreiber Foods in Carthage, Missouri. She was known as a very loyal and dedicated employee, and her long career reflected her strong work ethic, reliability, and quiet commitment to excellence. She took pride in her work and carried herself with professionalism and grace.

Shelia enjoyed a full and meaningful life. She loved traveling, playing pickle ball, and sharing her musical gifts by playing the piano at church. Her faith was an important part of who she was, and she found joy in worship and fellowship as a member of Central Community United Methodist Church in Shell Knob, Missouri.
