Bob Moore

Robert ‘Bob’ Ross Moore, 73, Diamond, entered into rest on July 6, 2017 at his home, following a sudden illness. 

 He was born August 12, 1943 in Del Norte, Colorado, the son of Paul L. and Fern (Archer) Moore. Bob was a farmer and lived all of his life in the Diamond area. He also worked as a livestock truck driver, manager of a propane company and rodeo contractor. He was a member of numerous Rodeo Associations, the Newton County Mounted Posse and First Baptist Church of Diamond. He loved being with his family, especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed giving wagon rides at various churches and, working on his antique Ferguson tractors. 

 Bob married Cleva (Smith) on June 8, 1962 in Diamond, Missouri and she survives of the home. Additional survivors include two daughters, Kathy Hamric and husband, Daniel of Diamond, MO and Karen Fink and husband, Scott of Wyandotte, OK; three sisters, Bonnie Young and special friend, Jim Musser of Aurora, CO, Pauline Moss and husband, Wayne of Diamond, MO and Patty Frazier and husband, Butch of Birch Tree, MO; seven grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. Bob is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Susan Greenwood. 

 Services will be held Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Diamond with Rev. Ron Crow officiating. Interment will follow in the Diamond Cemetery and serving as pallbearers will be Justin Crosswhite, Matt Davidson, David Johnson, Brett Whitson, Frank Coburn and James Frazier. Honorary pallbearers are Bill Whitson, Jerry Sweet, Gary Hunley, Gene Writer, Bud Southern and Vince Coker. The family will receive friends at a time of visitation Monday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the church. The casket will be closed at the time of service and will remain closed. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Bob may be made to First Baptist Church of Diamond Building Fund c/o Clark Funeral Home, P.O. Box 66, Neosho, MO 64850.
