Nathaniel Valenzuela

Nathaniel John Valenzuela, age 35 of Joplin, passed August 31, 2017, peacefully in his sleep after a long and hard battle.

Nathaniel was born June 28, 1982 in Fort Stockton, Texas to Arturo C. Valenzuela and Jo C. Lowry White. Nathaniel loved his family and brought great joy to those who knew him.

He is survived by his mother, Jo C. White; three daughters, Dina Stone of the home, Patricia Stone of Carl Junction, CaƩton Valenzuela of Exeter, Missouri; brothers, Izaak Davis of Phoenix, Arizona, Jason Newman of Carthage; maternal grandmother, Bibs Lowry of Cassville, Missouri; uncles, John Lowry and wife, Mary of Exeter, Alfredo Valenzuela of Ft. Worth, Texas; aunts, Lois Stewart and husband, Bobby of Wheaton, Missouri, Carolina Lopez of Ft. Worth, Texas, Amelia Taylor and husband, Mike of Corpus Christi, Texas, Estella Malina and husband, Joe of Odessa, Texas; a brother of his heart, Randy Adams and wife, Christy; plus several cousins and extended family and friends.

Nathaniel is preceded in death by his father, Arturo Valenzuela and by Dave "Poppy" Molesworth.

A memorial service is planned for Saturday, September 2 at 6:00 p.m. at Parker Mortuary with a visitation to follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation, helping those with spinal cord injuries.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin, Missouri.
