Billy Gene Weaver, age 87, of Mt. Vernon, Missouri, passed away at 10:47 a.m. on Monday, January 8, 2018, at his home. He was born December 10, 1930, in Stotts City, Missouri, the son of George Ernest and Florence Agnes (Williams) Weaver.
Billy was a 1949 graduate of Mt. Vernon High School. He worked for the Carnation Milk Plant in Mt. Vernon for 42 years and his hobby was Bill’s Shoe Repair in Stotts City, Missouri.
On September 18, 1950, he married Beatrice L. Clapper, in Jasper County.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Beatrice; five children, Larry Weaver and his wife, Karla, of Mt. Vernon; Wanda Johnson of Rescue, Missouri, Jeanne Limbocker of Anderson, Missouri; Carole Motley and her husband, Ellis, of Pierce City, Missouri and Billy Weaver and his wife, Barbara, of Stotts City; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
His parents, George and Florence, brother, George Weaver and a great-granddaughter, preceded him in death.
Graveside services will be held at a later date at the Union Cemetery in Stotts City. Arrangements are under the direction of the Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon, Missouri. Online condolences may be shared at www.FossettMosherFuneralHome.com.
