Jesse Dennis Johnson, 78, Joplin, passed away Friday, January 5, 2017 at the Medical Lodge of Neosho.
Jesse was born March 16, 1939 to the late Otis Buster Johnson and Blanche Frazier Johnson.
He married Suzann Perry June 27, 1998 in Joplin, she survives of the home. He retired from the United States Air Force and later retired as a Special Education teacher in both Oklahoma and Missouri.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
He is survived by, his wife, Suzann; three sons, Grady Cason, his wife, Carol, Miami, OK, Troy Johnson, his wife, Lorena, Little Rock, AR, Jason Johnson, his wife, Betty, Springdale, AR; a daughter, Melissa Dumas, her husband, Tim, Joplin; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; three sisters, Pamela Teal, her husband, Rick, Grove, OK, and Teressa Chaney, her husband, Rex, Gilbert, AZ, and Mozelle Durbin, her husband, herb, Owasso,OK.
Graveside services will be Tuesday, January 9, at 11:00 a.m. in the Council House Cemetery, Wyandotte, OK, with Rev. Gregory Mech, officiating. Family will receive friends Monday, from 6:00-7:00 p.m. at the mortuary. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Martin Luther School and may be left in care of the mortuary.
Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin.
