Nancy Juanita Crest, age 83, Joplin, passed away at 5:51 a.m. Saturday, January 6, 2018 at her home after an illness.
Nancy was born July 10, 1934 in Hominy, Oklahoma to the late Roland Hershall Webb and Rhoda Cordelia Agee Webb.
Nancy had worked at U.S. Metal, Miami, Oklahoma and managed the Broasted Chicken in Miami, Oklahoma for several years. She lived in British Columbia, Canada from 1985 before moving back to Joplin in October of 2017. She enjoyed arts and crafts, knitting and crocheting. She was a positive thinker and didn't let anything get her down. She will be missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by three brothers; two sisters and two grandchildren.
Survivors include two sons, David Lee Sears, Tulsa, Oklahoma, Roy Eldon Mericle and wife, Kim, Joplin; a daughter, Janet Elaine Silvers and husband, Mark, Lowell, Arkansas; a sister, Lara Louise McDonald and husband, Darell, Fresno, California; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren and one great great grandson.
Services are planned for Tuesday at 4:00 p.m. at Parker Mortuary Chapel. The family will receive friends following the services at the mortuary. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, in care of Parker Mortuary.
Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
