Linda Sue Goade, age 75, of Duenweg, Mo., passed away on January 7, 2018, at Freeman Hospital, following a sudden illness.
Linda was born on February 5, 1942 in Bentonville, Ar., the daughter of the late Robert and Juanita (Roughton) Townsend. She has been a lifetime area resident. She graduated from Duenweg High School in 1960. She married Everett Goade on June 23, 1961, together they raised two children. She worked at Newman’s, Macy’s, Kassab’s, and a few other department stores. She was a member of the local Shrine Ladies. She enjoyed gardening, garage sales, collecting, and spending time with family and friends at the river.
She is survived by her husband of fifty-six years, Everett Goade, Duenweg; son, Marty Goade and wife Kristie, Joplin; a daughter, Jennifer Goade Baker, Washington, Mo.; two brothers, Stan Townsend and wife Barbara, Joplin and Damond Townsend, Joplin; three grandchildren, Alex Baker, Andrew Baker and fiancé Kelly Eastman, and Jake Goade and girlfriend Blake Burns.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday at Mason-Woodard Mortuary. Randy Coleman, Minister will officiate. Burial will be in Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery. The pallbearers will be Alex Baker, Andrew Baker, Jake Goade, Josh Townsend, David Lyster, and Brian Burke.
The family will receive friends 6-7 p.m. Thursday at the mortuary. Memorial contributions
may be given to The Shriner’s Crippled Children's Hospital in care of the mortuary.
