Norman Cody

Norman Edward Cody of Commerce, OK passed from this life on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at his home. He was 61.

Norman was born July 16, 1956 in Troy, MT to George and Roseann (Norman) Cody. He had lived in Commerce for 8 years, moving from Picher, OK. He worked for the City of Commerce Water Department and did tower work for AT&T. He was a member of Bethel Freewill Baptist Church in Picher and later in the Greenlawn Community.

Norman was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Rev. Robert Cody.

Norman married Audrey Judd in 1981. She survives of the home. Additional survivors include 1 son, Jimmy Cody and wife Jessica of Commerce, OK, 1 daughter, Crystal Goad and husband Jeremy of Oronogo, MO, his mother, Roseann Rhodes of Miami, OK, 2 brothers, Jim Cody of Broken Arrow, OK and Ryan Cody of Commerce, OK, 3 sisters, Aletha Redden of Miami, OK, Jolene Prawdzik of Baxter Springs, KS and Amber Cody of Peoria, OK and 4 grandchildren.

Services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, January12, 2018 at Paul Thomas Funeral Home Chapel in Miami, OK. Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, northwest of Treece, KS. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Paul Thomas Funeral Home Chapel in Miami, OK. Services have been placed in the care of Paul Thomas Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Miami, OK.
