Mr. James Leroy “Jim” Colville, 69, of Pineville, Missouri, departed this life suddenly on Tuesday evening, January 9, 2018, at Freeman Hospital in Neosho, Missouri, after suffering an apparent heart attack.
Jim entered this life on March 13, 1948, in Southwest City, Missouri, one of three children born to the late James Harold and Virginia Mae (Fielding) Colville. He was raised in Gravette, Arkansas, and was a 1966, graduate of Gravette High School. On June 23, 1967, in Anderson, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Phylis Shaver and to this union four children were born. He was a farmer and a brick mason his entire life. He owned and operated Colville Masonry for several years. His skilled craftsmanship is evident in numerous structures throughout the area. He enjoyed farming, craft projects and mushroom hunting. He attended worship services at Hilltop Mission Church in Anderson.
Jim is survived by his wife of fifty years, Phylis Colville of the home; four children, Kevin Colville and wife, Susan, of Pineville, Machelle Terrill and husband, Randy, of Anderson, Brent Colville and wife, Kimberly, of Pineville and Shawn Colville of the home; fifteen grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; a sister, Leota Bolt of Decatur, Arkansas; a brother, Virgil Colville of Gravette, Arkansas; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services for Mr. Colville are 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 12, 2018, in the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Homes with Pastors Scott Leonard and Roland Keith officiating. Burial will follow in the Peace Valley Cemetery in Anderson, Missouri. Those honoring his life by serving as pallbearers are Cauy Colville, Drayton Terrill, Davon Colville, Landon Colville, Markus Self, Benjamin James and Nathan Vondran.
