Reba L. Hill, 96, Carthage, MO, passed away Sunday, January 7, 2018 at Oak Pointe in Carthage. Reba Louise Haskins was born January 17, 1921 in Cassville, MO to the late Roy Haskins and Pearl (Dodson) Haskins. She graduated from Cassville High School, Class of 1938. Reba married J. Elara Hill on September 26, 1945 in Columbus, KS; he preceded her in death on December 27, 1990. She was a homemaker and also worked as a school teacher at Black School in Barry County. Reba was a member of the First Baptist Church, Carthage.
Survivors include one son, LeRoy Hill (wife Judy), Carthage, MO; three grandchildren, Deana Adams, Holly Gilstrap, and Jason Hill; and eight great grandchildren, Jackson Gilstrap, Canaan Gilstrap, Gadge Adams, Hannah Hill, Cody Adams, Joshua Hill, Caleb Hill, and Anna-Grace Hill.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one daughter, Linda Adams, and two brothers, D.R. Haskins and Beauford Haskins.
Visitation will be held 10-11 am, Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at Knell Mortuary, Carthage. Graveside services will follow the visitation at 11:00 am in Park Cemetery, Carthage. Dr. Ray Crews and Rev. Thad Beeler will officiate. Memorial gifts are suggested to the Carthage Public Library or First Baptist Church, Carthage in care of Knell Mortuary, 308 W. Chestnut, Carthage, MO 64836.
