Carol O'Roake

Mrs. Carol Ann (Todd) O’Roake, 72, of Lanagan, Missouri, departed this life on Friday, March 1, 2019, at Freeman Hospital West in Joplin, Missouri, after a sudden illness.

Carol entered this life on September 8, 1946, in Pineville, Missouri, daughter of the late Charles and Louise (Testerman) Todd. She was raised in rural Lanagan, Missouri, and was a 1964 graduate of Noel High School. She furthered her education by attending college in Springfield, Missouri. On March 20, 1970, she was united in marriage to Patrick O’Roake and together they shared thirty-nine years before his passing on April 22, 2009. She retired in 2005 from the Wal-Mart Home Office as an executive administrative assistant. Carol loved her community and was always willing to serve its citizens as former Mayor, City Clerk and Court Clerk. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, bowling and caring for her animals. She was a member of the Red Hatters Club.

Carol is survived by her daughter, Anna Pearl, and husband, Michael, of Lanagan, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other family and friends.








Funeral services for Carol will be held on Thursday, March 7, 2019, at 1:00 p.m. in the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Homes with Pastor Marilyn O’Brien officiating. Burial will follow at the Lanagan Cemetery. Those honoring her life by serving as pallbearers are Michael Pearl, Steve Todd, Paul Todd and Mitch Pittman.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service in the funeral home chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials are being directed to the Make-A-Wish Foundation in care of the funeral home. Online condolences may be sent through our website www.ozarkfuneralhome.com.
