Kay Wilson

Barbara “Kay” Wilkerson-Williams-Wilson, age 78, of Joplin, passed away on Tuesday March 5, 2019, at Freeman Hospital, following an illness.

Kay was born on May 2, 1940, in Kansas City, Mo., the daughter of the late Thomas and Maxine (Trewitt) Wilkerson. She has been a resident of Joplin most of her adult life. She worked as an accountant for Jefferson Bus Lines, after retiring she worked as a sales associate for J.C. Penney and Kohl’s. She was a member of Mt. Hope Church of Christ. Kay had a very kind and giving spirit. She loved helping others.

She married Ervin Wilson on November 7, 1988 in Joplin, and he survives. Additional survivors include; one step-son, Curtis Wilson, Joplin; one step-daughter, Christy Wilson, Joplin; one brother, Bud Wilkerson, Gower, Mo., and one sister, Donna Zymar, The Villages, Fl.








Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday at Mason-Woodard Chapel. Frank McReynolds, Minister, will officiate. Burial will be in Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at 1:00 p.m. Friday prior to the service.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Joplin Humane Society in care of the mortuary.

Arrangements are under the direction of Mason-Woodard Mortuary & Crematory.
