(From Clark Funeral Home)Clarence Arthur Nowak, 83, from Neosho, Missouri, entered into rest on September 26, 2020 at his residence. Clarence was born May 5, 1937 in Silver Lake, Minnesota to Louis and Louise (Pokarnowski) Nowak. After graduating from High School, he served in the United States Army from Aug 1957-Sept 1958.
He married Marjorie Helen (Vacek) in 1960 and they shared sixty years of marriage and raised six children, Louise, Clarence Junior, Paul, Thomas, Mary and Jesse.
Clarence was a self-employed contractor and cattle farmer. The joy he derived from seeing cattle and baby calves in his fields, never ceased. He was an active member of the St. Canera Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus. He embraced patriotism as a Fourth degree Honor Guard member with the Knights of Columbus organization.
Clarence is survived by his wife, Marjorie; six children: Louise Butterfield and husband Todd, Clarence Nowak Jr. and his fiancé Sharla, Paul Nowak and his wife Michelle, Thomas Nowak and his wife Ginger, Mary Goodbody and her husband Wes and Jesse Nowak; one sister-in-law, Yvonne Nowak; 33 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by three brothers and one grandson, Dominic Nowak.
Rosary will be October 9, 2020 at the St. Canera Catholic Church at 5:30pm. Visitation to follow, until 7pm. Funeral Mass will be October 10, 2020, at the St. Canera Catholic Church at 10am, with Fr. Chas Dunn officiating. Interment will follow at Neosho Memorial Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Clarence may be made to the St. Canera Catholic Church, c/o Clark Funeral Home, PO Box 66, Neosho, Missouri, 64850.
