(From Clark Funeral Home)Gerald W. Marble, age 65, was called home by his Heavenly Father on September 25, 2020. He was born on June 20, 1955 in Neosho, Missouri to Glen Leonard and Kathryn (Crews) Marble. He had a truly extraordinary love for his wife, Diana (Crowder). They were married on July 4, 1973. He recently said that she was his 'biggest accomplishment'. He adored her.
Most people recognized Gerald quickly by his daily uniform of overalls, a gray t-shirt, work boots and dirty hat. He was an extremely hard working man of integrity.
Although he was too busy working for hobbies, he did enjoy growing a good tomato and his dog, Dixie. He was generous and honest, and loved. If you knew him, you were blessed by him. Although he was a man of few words, most of which were mumbled, the words he spoke were full of wisdom and kindness.
His farm was his happy place, he worked hard on it, but also enjoyed a few napes in the 'hollar' in recent years. His life was a testimony of God's grace and love. He faithfully served his Lord to the end.
Gerald is survived by his wife, three grateful daughters and a legacy of love, Mindy and Keith Ward of Lees Summit, MO, Katy and Ronnie Housch of Neosho, MO and Tracy and Adam Weston of Neosho, MO. He was also Papa to seven deeply cherished grandchildren, Alysa, Michael and Kelsey Ward, Tyler Pearson and his wife, Lydia (whom Papa loved as his own), Georgia Housch, Erika Weston and Grace Weston. He was excited about expecting his first great grandchild in April.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a special cousin, Kevin Bogle.
He wasn't really a flower guy, but he loved kids. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to his favorite charity, St. Jude Children's Reseach Hospital, c/o Clark Funeral Home, PO Box 66, Neosho, Missouri 64850.
