(From Daniel Funeral Home)Linda Sue Zaerr, age 71, of Lamar, MO passed away September 15, 2020, at Cox Barton County Hospital.
Linda was born October 3, 1948 in Girard, KS to George Marshall and Ella L.(Crank) Burns. She graduated in 1966 from Southeast Rural High School in Cherokee, KS. On October 23, 1982, Linda married Wayne Laverne Zaerr at the First Baptist Church in Lamar, MO.
Linda worked 41 years as a clerk in the Lamar City Offices and retired in February 2013. She volunteered at the Good Samaritan Shop, enjoyed water aerobics, playing Candy Crush, and spending time with her children, grand-dogs, and family and friends.
Survivors include a son, Chad Zaerr and his wife Jacci of Centerton, AR; a daughter, Crystal Zaerr of Lamar, MO; one brother, Tim Burns, of Pittsburg, KS, two sisters in law Rose Marie Burns, of Cherokee, KS, and Barb Smith, of Lamar, MO, four grand-dogs, Riley, Ridley, Lucy, and Sadie, her best friend for over 40 years Earlene Rawlings, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding Linda in death were her parents; her husband Wayne; three brothers, William "David" Burns, John Raymond "Ray" Burns, and George Edwin "Ed" Burns; one sister, Joyce Ella Bole, one sister in law Deb Burns, and one brother in law, Randy Bole.
Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, September 21, 2020, at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Lamar, MO.
Honorary Pallbearers are Jeff Rawlings, Loyd Rawlings, John Davis, Cody Rawlings, and Brodie Davis.
