(From Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home)Donald Frank Corwin, age 77, of Aurora, Missouri, passed away at 5:46 p.m. on Saturday, September 26, 2020, at the Osage Beach Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Osage Beach, Missouri. He was born October 10, 1942, in Miller, Missouri, the son of Carl and Mary (Jones) Corwin.
Donnie was a 1961 graduate of Miller High School in Miller, Missouri and was a United States Army Veteran receiving the Purple Heart while serving in Vietnam. He was a machinist for CMC Recycling in Springfield, Missouri, a member of the Vietnam Veteran’s Association and was of the Baptist faith.
On October 12, 1979, he married Sharon Sailor in Miami, Oklahoma.
Donnie is survived by his wife of 40 years, Sharon; two stepsons, Roy Harrison of Joplin, Missouri and Corey Harrison and his wife, Jennifer, of Ohio; two brothers, Raymond Corwin and his wife, Nilajo, of Springfield, Missouri and Harold Corwin of Aurora; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Donnie was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Mary, brother, Vincel Corwin and three sisters, Geraldine Corwin, Faye Morris and Fern Heard.
A graveside service, under the direction of the Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home in Aurora will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 30, 2020, at the Maple Park Cemetery in Aurora.
Memorial donations may be made payable to the Wounded Warrior Project, in care of the funeral home.
