(From Ozark Funeral Home)Gary Calvin Shumate (79) of Anderson, Missouri, passed away at noon on July 27, 2022. He was the oldest son to the late Baylous and Bess Shumate.
Gary, (more commonly known as "cowboy") was born in San Franciso, California on May 18, 1943, while his father was overseas in the Navy.
Although Gary had special needs his entire life, he was cared for by his parents and siblings until his death. He loved life and never knew a stranger. His passions were horses, fishing, and food, not necessarily in that order.
He is survived by his sisters Janelle Shumate, Jody Bacher, Elaine Reut and his brothers Rodney, John, and David Shumate and nieces and nephews.
His wit and humor will be dearly missed!
