(From Clark Funeral Home)Melissa Jean Storms, 43, of Neosho, Missouri, entered into rest on July 25, 2022 at Freeman West Hospital in Joplin, Missouri, following a sudden illness.
Melissa was born October 2, 1978 in Neosho, Missouri and was a lifelong area resident. She was a homemaker and enjoyed cave exploring, studying nature, ocean creatures, crafting and taking care of her cats. She attended Calvary Baptist Church, where she was baptized.
On June 2, 2001, in Neosho, Missouri, Melissa and Harold John Storms, III were married and Harold preceded her in death on June 3, 2022.
Melissa is survived by two children, Taylor Storms and boyfriend, Elijah Green of Neosho and Nathan Storms of Neosho; her mother and stepfather, Rita and Mike Reynolds of Neosho; a sister, Carol Baker and husband, Brady of Webb City, Missouri; stepsister, Rebecca Earnest and husband, Rex of Anderson, Missouri; step-brother, Carl Reynolds and wife, Angie of Goodman, Missouri; stepsister, Brandi Hart of Plano, Texas and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, who will miss her greatly.
In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Jean and Rollie Williams; her father, Alan Hearl; paternal grandparents, Roy and Adele Hearl and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Harold and Dorothy Storms.
