(From Hedge-Lewis-Goodwin Funeral Home)Mrs. Leesa Kay Hedgecorth, 68, of Webb City, Missouri, departed this life on Friday morning, July 29, 2022, in the comfort of her home after a long hard-fought battle with cancer.
Leesa entered this life on September 18, 1953, in Webb City, Missouri, born to the union of Phillip and Betty (Ivy) Reeder. She was a lifelong resident and a 1971 graduate of Webb City High School.
On February 14, 1969, she was united in marriage to Micheal Hedgecorth and together they have shared the last fifty-three years. She retired from Walmart as Direct Receiving Manager in 2019, after twenty-seven years of service. She enjoyed gardening and was an avid collector.
A daughter, Valarie Dianne Hedgecorth preceded her in death on March 26, 2020.
Leese is survived by her husband, Micheal Hedgecorth of the home; a daughter Glinda Smith and husband, Mike, of Eagle River, Alaska; six grandchildren, Brittany Smith, Steven Hedgecorth and wife, Devinne, Eleesha Smith, Zane Hedgecorth and wife, Kaylee, Mikeah Hedgecorth and Lauren Fisher; three great grandchildren, Mikayla, Brady and Payton; her parents, Phillip Reeder of Webb City and Betty Long of Oronogo; a sister, Debra Joy Mahurin and husband, Rick, of Webb City; as well as a host of other family and friends.
Graveside funeral services will be held on Tuesday morning, August 2, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Oronogo Cemetery with Joe Morris officiating. Friends may pay their respects on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of the Hedge-Lewis-Goodwin Funeral Home in Webb City, Missouri.
