(From Thornhill-Dillon Mortuary)Catherine Roberson, age 102, of Joplin, was welcomed into the arms of our Lord on Saturday, July 16, 2022 at her home.
Catherine, daughter of the late George and Annetta (Miner) Davis, was born on November 27, 1919 in Iola, Kansas. Catherine grew up in Kansas and was united in marriage to Joseph Roberson on October 26, 1940 in Chanute, Kansas. He preceded her in death on July 4, 2015.
After Joseph served his country honorably in the United States Air Corp, together they relocated to the Joplin area making their home. She was a member of the St. Mary Catholic Church in Joplin.
Catherine was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who always gave of her time and heart. Her family will remember her love and the example she has set for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her children, Beverly Ann Myatt, Mary Hohanna Busby, Stephen Paul Roberson, and Thomas Joseph Roberson, and his wife, Gayle; nine grandchildren; and three great grandchildren, one great-great-grandson.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Rodney James Roberson in 2016.
A committal of ashes will be held on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Osborne Cemetery in Joplin, Missouri.
Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Thornhill-Dillon Mortuary, Joplin.
