Vickie Beauchamp

Vickie Sue Beauchamp, 75, of Joplin, passed away on Sunday, July 17 with her daughter at her side.

Vickie was born June 20, 1947, in Kansas City, MO, to the late William Leroy “Bill” and Ada Elizabeth “Betty” Beauchamp.

Vickie attended schools in Kansas City. She moved to Granby in 1976. She moved to Joplin in 2000 where she worked for St John’s Hospital as a housekeeper until her retirement.






 

Vickie enjoyed sewing, puzzles, watching TV and shopping with family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Vickie was preceded in death by her sisters, Joyce Elaine Owen and Dona Robin Lambrecht; and niece Whitney Bisbee.

Vickie is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Trina and Marty Busick, grandchildren Travis Busick (Nikki) with daughter Khloe; and Bailey Busick (Kilin). She is also survived by her brother Donald Owen with Stuart Grief, niece Amber Palumbo; great-nephews Tim Scott, Nick Scott and Dalton Bisbee. She is also survived by her best friend Jeanne Logan and her family.

The family wishes to thank Freeman ICU, Landmark Hospital, Joplin Health & Rehab, and Avalon Hospice for providing great care and compassion to Vickie and the family.








Vickie had to overcome many obstacles in her life, beginning at an earlier age up until her death. Marty always told her she was “a tough old bird”.

Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Parker Mortuary in Joplin with Pastor Keith Brumfield officiating. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation on Wednesday beginning at 1:00 PM until service time.

Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin.
