Marie Jones

Marie Jones, 94, Goodman, Missouri, entered into rest on July 12, 2022 at her home. 

Marie was born April 9, 1928 in Stella, Missouri, one of nine children to Robert and Margaret (Legrande) Shockley. She was a lifelong area resident and had worked in area hospitals in the allergy department as a nurse. 

Marie volunteered for many years with the Ladies Auxiliary for veterans, was a member of the Eastern Star and enjoyed crocheting. She was a member of the Goodman Baptist Church. 

Her husband, Melvin Leroy Jones preceded her in death on Sept. 15, 2005. 

Marie is survived by her son, Larry Jones of Goodman; two grandchildren, Allen Jones of Neosho and Shawndel Rainwater and husband, Les of Goodman; six great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren and numerous other family and friends. 

In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by eight siblings. 

Funeral services for Marie are scheduled for Friday, July 15, 2022 at 2 pm at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, Pastor Virgil Sherwood will officiate. 

Interment will follow in the Oakwood Cemetery and those serving as pallbearers will be, Allen Jones, Axton Jones, Travis Henry, Les Rainwater, Gavin Rainwater, and Addison Rainwater. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1 pm until service time.
