At his home of over fifty years Donnie had large gardens full of all sorts of fruits and vegetables all raised organically. People would stop just to talk to him about the gardens. He also grafted trees, raising multiple varieties on his property along with bee's harvesting the fresh honey. He enjoyed going hunting, fishing, camping and seeing the great outdoors. He loved everything about nature and the great wilderness, going on many hunting trips over the years and having many stories to tell.
Donnie loved reading and drinking black coffee. He said he started drinking coffee when he was about two years old and never stopped! He was always a jokester. He loved nothing more than to tease in his unique way with a dash of his ornery nature thrown in for fun. He loved to chuckle and torment people. He couldn't help himself. He will be greatly missed.
