(From Parker Mortuary)David Arthur Carver, 74, passed away on June 18, 2024, in Webb City, MO. He was born on April 21, 1950, in Joplin, MO, to the late Arthur and Betty Carver.
David's journey began in the heart of Joplin, where he grew up with a passion for building and creating that would define his life. At the young age of 17, David's entrepreneurial spirit led him to start his own business. For over 50 years, he was self-employed as a mason and in the construction industry, where his craftsmanship and integrity were well-known and respected.
He met the love of his life, Judy (Peavler) Carver, and together they raised their three children, Rebecca Draeger (Scott) of Neosho, David Michael Carver of Joplin, and Clarrisia Hallacy (Damien) of Oronogo. David's legacy continued to grow with his adored grandchildren, Miata Baker, Makayla Belcher (Silas), David Allen Carver, Samantha Gruenberg (Matt), Sadie Plummer (Chase), Sophie Berry (Logan), Dalaynie Hallacy, and Averie Hallacy, as well as his cherished great-grandchildren, Brecklyn Baker, Brynlee Baker, Eden Belcher, Ellis Belcher, Cannen Plummer, Cohen Plummer, and Brooklyn Gruenberg. David is also survived by his sister, Judy Reynolds (Rod).
He found joy in ATV rides, collecting and restoring classic cars, and was an avid fan of "Gunsmoke" and other westerns. His companions, dogs Bella and Taco could always be found near him. David's life was a testament to the power of hard work, the importance of family, and the joy of pursuing one's passions. His hands, which skillfully built footings and foundations, were also the hands that held his loved ones close, taught his children to build and create, and offered help to anyone in need.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Betty Walser and Harold Carver.
