Don Sherron

Donald Lee Sherron, age 84, Carthage, MO passed away on Friday, June 21, 2024 in Webb City, MO.

Don was born February 19, 1940 in Lockwood, MO, son of the late Omer Sherron and Gwendolyn (McCluey) O’Brien. He grew up in Lockwood and Golden City before graduating from Stockton High School. He proudly served in the United States Army during the late 1960’s. 

He was owner/operator of Don’s Washer Sales in two locations in Carthage for many years before retiring. He enjoyed helping those in need of appliances, and was always tinkering with something in his shop, whether fixing a broken appliance or some other small engine part. He had several hobbies over the years, all of which included him working with his hands.

In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa Leeann Krause, and a sister, Nona Ruth Chandler.

Survivors include his son, Don Sherron, Jr. and wife Norma of Carthage; daughter, Angla Warren of Neosho, MO; eight grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Joyce Elaine Hunter of Joplin.

Graveside service will be Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. in Taylor Cemetery, Reeds, MO with his son, Don Sherron, Jr. officiating. Family members will serve as pallbearers.
