(From Derfelt Funeral Home)Sean Vincent Moore passed suddenly and went home to his Heavenly Father Jun 18, 2024. Sean was born January 1, 1968 to Rusty and Janie Moore and was the New Year's Baby of the Tri-States and lived most of his life in the surrounding area.
Sean is survived by his mother, Janie Howey (husband, Paul) of Joplin, MO; his daughter, Holly McBride (husband, Blake) of Carl Junction, MO; two sons, Devon Moore of Joplin, MO and Aaron Moore (wife, Heather) of Norman, OK; sister, Heather Derfelt (husband, Matt) of Carl Junction. He was the best PePaw to Tobias Alexander Herring, Adeline Rose Moore, Bry Lynn Moore, Thomas Vincent Moore, Oaklynn Grace McBride and Olyas Matthew McBride. He is also survived by his best friend and love of his life, Kyla Dawson of Joplin., one nephew, two nieces, and a host of family and friends.
Sean was a talented guitarist and vocalist and used his gifts to glorify the Lord. He loved to fish, golf, and just be outdoors. Although he struggled at times through his life, the Lord remained true to His promises and was able to use Sean to witness to others. Sean was Missouri Chapter 1 Chair Officer and President of the Joplin Oxford House location. Sean also served at John 3:16 Mission in Tulsa, OK for a number of years.
Sean was preceded in death by his father, Rusty Moore, his maternal grandparents, Roy and Leatha Heatherly and his paternal grandparents, John "Jack" Moore and Gerri Faulkner.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 am, Saturday, June 22, 2024, at Bethel Community Church, Baxter Springs, KS. Pastor John Arthur and Pastor Matt Derfelt will officiate. Burial will be in Baxter Cemetery, Baxter Springs, KS.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 7:00 pm, Friday, June 21, 2024 at Derfelt's Baxter Chapel, Baxter Springs, KS.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to Oxford House in care of the funeral home.
