(From Parker Mortuary)Terry Michele Mills, age 62 of Carl Junction, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 15, 2024 at The Communities of Wildwood in Joplin, followed by an extended illness. Terry was born on May 19, 1962 in Bentonville, Arkansas to James and Sue (Cogburn) Grubbs.
Terry attended school and graduated from Carl Junction High School with the class of 1980. She worked for Kelly Truck Line and eventually retired from Frontier Trucking after 20 plus years. Terry attended First Baptist Church of Carl Junction and was faithful in attending and supporting Celebrate Recovery.
Terry is preceded in death by her mother, Sue Grubbs and a step-daughter, Brigitte Johnson.
Those left to mourn her loss include her father, James Grubbs of Arkansas; husband, Scott Mills of Carl Junction whom she married on September 21, 1985 in Joplin; sons, Jeremiah Mills and Benjamin (Makayla) Mills, both of Carl Junction; grandchildren, Morgan, Madison, Deacon, Asher, Jacer, Jett, Uziah and Brixtynn; three great-grandchildren and two brothers.
A memorial visitation will take place on Monday, July 1, 2024 from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm at Parker Mortuary. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the ALS Foundation in care of Parker Mortuary.
Cremation and funeral arrangements are under the trust and direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin, Missouri.
