(From Clark Funeral Home)Doris May Parsons departed from this life on June 20, 2024, at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, Missouri. She was born on April 5, 1945, in Monett, Missouri, to Ralph and Zelda (Davidson) Nimmo, Doris led a life filled with love, adventure, and dedication. She married Charles Parsons, who preceded her in death in 2016.
Doris was a retired over-the-road truck driver, known for her resilience and determination on the highways. In her leisure time, she enjoyed gardening and nurturing flowers, as well as hunting and fishing, where she found peace and joy in the great outdoors.
She is survived by her daughter, Kelley Nabors, and her son, Cary (Jacci) Isley, both of Pierce City, Missouri. Doris is also survived by her sister, Louise Grieshaber, and her brother, David (Mary) Nimmo. Her legacy continues through her four grandchildren: Kiele Riner, Sydney Bowers, Shelbi Nabors, and Dusti Tilton. Additionally, she leaves behind five beloved great-grandchildren: Brantley, Gatlyn, Paizleigh, Brylei, and Westin.
A Memorial service will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at Monett House of Prayer, in Monett, Missouri. Doris will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.
