(From Clark Funeral Home)Gerald C. Mitchell, 82, of Neosho, Missouri, entered into rest at his home in Neosho on June 17, 2024. Gerald was born on November 16, 1941, in Collinsville, Texas, the son of William Woodrow and Emily Roberta (Quattlebaum) Mitchell. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy.
He worked as a propane technician until his retirement. He enjoyed woodworking, restoring old vehicles and cattle farming. He was a good, caring person, always willing to help others. He was an amazing Father. Gerald was a member of the Victory Assembly Church in Neosho.
On November 21, 1970, in Mammoth Springs, Arkansas, Gerald and Wanda (Cherveny) were united in marriage and she survives.
In addition to his wife, Gerald is survived by one daughter, Cheryl Lynn and Joel Severs of Neosho; granddaughter, Lauren and Rex Burrow of Salem, Arkansas; five great granddaughters, Teagon Burrow, Bailey Syler, Laklynn Hurst, Bryer Burrow and Rinley Burrow; two brothers, Bill and Nancy Mitchell of Scottsdale, Arizona and Nickie Mitchell of Texas and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents and a granddaughter, Lacey Statler.
Services will be held at a later date.
