(From Mason-Woodard Mortuary)Robert Lee Hardee, age 80, of Wyandotte, OK, went home to be with Jesus on Thursday, June 20, 2024.
Mr. Hardee, son of the late Elzie Z and Hester B (Crumm) Hardee was born on October 07, 1943 in Joplin, MO. On February 1, 1971, in Neosho, MO, he was united in marriage to Phyllis J Hardee (Bearden) who has since passed.
He was of the Apostolic Faith and was a member of Tabernacle Church Of Joplin. He was a Gospel songwriter, singer & guitar player who touched many lives. Robert & Phyllis were therapeutic foster parents for years. He was self-employed most of his life. He enjoyed buying and selling, wheeling and dealing.
Robert never met a stranger and made lots of friends. He was very loving and caring and was a great father to all his kids. He will greatly be missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his wife Phyllis Hardee, son; Marvin Hardee, grandson; Robert Wayne Hardee, 3 brothers; Elzie Dean, Delbert, Frankie, sisters; Carrie Bell, Evy, Viola, Bertha.

Survivors include, 3 sons; Rick Dean Hardee and his wife Sharma of Fairland, OK., Robert Gene Hardee, of Wyandotte, OK, Dustin Lee Hardee of Wyandotte, OK, 2 daughters; Tammie Michele Hollis husband Steve of Wyandotte, OK, Diamond Nicole Hall husband Charlie of Neosho, MO and many more foster children and 9 grandchildren.
The family will receive friends and family for a time of visitation from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm Thursday, June 27, 2024 at Mason-Woodard Mortuary & Chapel. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 28th at 10:00 am and it will be officiated by Steve Hollis, at the Mason-Woodard Chapel in Joplin, MO. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Joplin, MO.
