Julie Mathews

Mrs. Julie Ann Mathews, 69, of Anderson, Missouri, departed this life suddenly on Saturday morning, March 23, 2019, at Freeman Hospital West in Joplin, Missouri, from complications of pneumonia.

Julie entered this life on March 18, 1950, in Nampa, Idaho, born to the union of the late Elbert and Mary (Yowell) Dille. She was raised in Nampa and was a 1968 graduate of Nampa High School. She moved her family to Lanagan, Missouri, in 1986. She was employed by the Jane Wal-Mart as a bakery associate. She also worked in various nursing homes as a caregiver. She enjoyed her coffee, crocheting, playing cards, fishing, gardening and was a devout Kansas City Chiefs fan.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, J.W. Mathews on July 7, 2000.

Julie is survived by her three children, Michael Janoushek of Middleton, Idaho, Jason Mathews and fiancĂ©, Alix Edmonds, of Goodman, Missouri and James Mathews and wife, Margaret, of Anderson, Missouri; five grandchildren; two brothers, Dale Dille of Chula Vista, California and Mike Dille of St. Louis, Missouri; two sisters, Karen Roberts and Barbara Britt both of Nampa, Idaho; her best friend, Deana Tompkins and husband, Alan, of Anderson; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other family and friends. 










Funeral services for Julie will be held graveside on Friday, March 29, 2019, at 10:00 a.m. at Butler Creek Cemetery in Sulphur Springs, Arkansas with Pastor Marilyn O’Brien officiating. Those honoring her life by serving as pallbearers are Kaleb Mathews, Mike Mathews, Jeffrey Mathews, Jay Mathews, Donnie Rose and Aaron Brice. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 5-7:00 p.m. in the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Homes.
