Richard Brake

Richard Dean Brake, Marshfield, was born March 15, 1954 to Kelly and Delores (Smith) Brake. He departed this life on Thursday, March 7, 2019 in Mercy Hospital, Springfield, at the age of 64.

Richard retired as Sergeant First Class from the United States Army. He was a member of DAV and soldier for life. Richard was known for spoiling his grandbabies (and giving them pizza money.) He loved fishing, guitar, and country western music. His family will miss his smile, kind heart, and how he did things quietly for others, especially veterans.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Rina Pace; his parents; and his stepson, Steve Arehart.








Richard is survived by his wife, Donna, of the home; son, Brandon Brake (Kara), Springfield; stepsons, William Arehart (Brittney), Marshfield, and Jack Arehart (Teresa), Carl Junction; stepdaughters, Jena Arehart (Steve Creasey), Fair Grove, and Theresa Sand (Sean), Wasilla, AK; siblings, Rhonda McReynolds (Ronnie), Buffalo, Sandy Harrison (Rick), Marshfield, Patrick Brake, Marshfield, Tony Brake (Deanna), Conway, Bill Brake, Fordland, Allen Brake (Marlene), Strafford, Jeff Brake (Alfie), OK, half-brother Rusty Gardner, Marshfield, and half-sisters Susan Garder Jennings (Kelly), Northview, Kelli Regina Zeigenbein, Ozark and Beverley Burks Bretz, Walnut Grove; fifteen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and his stepfather, Ron Drennan, Conway.

Funeral services were held Monday, March 11, 2019, in Fraker Funeral Home, Inc. Interment with full military honors followed in Marshfield Cemetery.
