Shirley Arlene Amack Gorman, 84 of Anderson, Missouri passed away on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at her residence in Anderson, Missouri.
Shirley was born on December 8, 1934 in St, Francis, Kansas to the late Chester and Vivian (Duncan) Amack. She was the youngest of 4 girls; Betty, Phyllis and Darlene. She attended Sunny Ridge School the first four years of her education before graduating from the St. Francis, Cheyenne County School in 1953.
She married Lenard “Ike” Gorman on September 27, 1953 in St. Francis, Kansas and to this union four sons were born. She worked at 3M Dynacolor in Dallas, Texas for 17 years and 18 years at Wal-Mart home office in Bentonville, Arkansas.
Shirley is survived by her husband, Ike Gorman of the home; four sons, Tim Gorman and wife, Bonnie of Trophy Club, Texas, Randy Gorman of Stark City, Missouri, David Gorman of Pineville, Missouri and Steven Gorman of Jane, Missouri; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; along with a host of other relatives and friends who will dearly miss Shirley.
A celebration of life will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Jane, Missouri. Reverend Hank Gorman will officiate.
