Lonnie Cook

Lonnie was born October 1, 1939 in Stella, MO to the late Lon and Alta (Gideon) Cook. Lonnie graduated from the 8th grade in Tiff City, MO in the one room school and in 1957 from Pineville High School. Lonnie was also baptized in Tiff City. He attended Crowder College and Grove flight School. He was a self-employed heavy equipment operator and contracted for the City of Anchorage, AK. He had a great passion for gold mining and worked for a mining company in Alaska. He had lived in Alaska for 40 years before moving to Powell, MO.

Lonnie was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Clarence Cook, a son Michael Cook and a daughter Penny Sue Deason.










Lonnie is survived by three sons; Raymond and wife, Nikki, David and wife, Heather and Patrick Cook all of Grove, OK, a daughter; Michelle Cook of Anchorage, AK, two stepsons; Steven Cook of Lanai, Hawaii and Kyle Marney of Commerce, OK, a step daughter; Marlene Gann of Oceans Springs, MS, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, four sisters; Alice Beasley of Palm Harbor, FL, Freeda O’Neal and husband Larry of Bella Vista, AR, Fern Billings of Hindsville, AR and Marie Buttram of Oakwood, TX, his Longview cafĂ© buddies and a host of other family and friends.

Graveside services for Mr. Lonnie Everett Cook will be held Saturday, March 23, 2019 in the Union Cemetery east of Anderson, MO with Pastor Marty Patton officiating. Services are under the care and direction of the Ozark Funeral Home in Anderson, Missouri.
