Edwin Dunn

Edwin Bryant Dunn, age 71, of Mt. Vernon, Missouri, passed away at 11:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 15, 2026, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. He was born on March 17, 1955, in Corona, California, the son of Russell Bryant and Helen Louise (Gulick) Dunn.

Edwin was a 1973 graduate of Sherwood High School, in Creighton, Missouri. 

Edwin is survived by his two sisters, Barbara Carnagey and her husband, Pete, of Everton, Missouri and Sharon Stadler, of Kansas City, Missouri; one niece, Allison Bird and her husband, Cyril, of Grandview, Missouri; three nephews, Doug Stadler and his wife, Kiersten, of Arlington, Virginia, Dan Carnagey and his wife, Jennifer, of Lexington, South Carolina and David Carnagey of Everton, Missouri.

Edwin was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Helen Dunn and his brother-in-law, Doug Wiley.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 31, 2026, at Grant Cemetery in Creighton, Missouri. Arrangements are under the direction of Morris-Leiman-Mosher Funeral Home in Miller, Missouri.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made payable to NAMI (SWMO) for Schizophrenia Research in care of the funeral home.
