(From Konantz Warden Funeral Home)Clay Michael Charlton, 25, passed away on October 13, 2026. He was born on June 6, 2001, in Joplin, Missouri, to Daniel and Magarah (Ross) Charlton.

Following high school, Clay worked several jobs, including driving a grain truck for Roberds Farm. At the time of his passing, he was employed by Owens Corning, where he worked as a forklift driver.
One of Clay’s greatest joys was becoming a father in July 2024. He was devoted to his son, who held a special place in his heart and was an important part of his life.
Clay enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time outdoors. He especially loved working on the farm, where he was happy doing just about anything involving the cows or operating farm equipment. He also had a passion for collecting guns and knives and enjoyed working with leather. Using hand-carving, punching, and stamping techniques, he created a variety of handmade items, including belts, wallets, keychains, and other leather goods. He took pride in working with his hands and creating things of his own.
Survivors include his son, Lane Charlton, and Lane’s mother, Haley Thomas; his parents, Daniel and Magarah Charlton; his brother, Colton Charlton (Annie Tarter); paternal grandparents, Gary and Kaye Charlton; maternal grandparents, Gary and Delma Ross; maternal great-grandfather, Bill Higgins; paternal uncles, Gary Wayne (Gayla) Charlton and Mike (Becky) Charlton; maternal uncles, Mitchell (Amy) Ross and Chris Pennington; and several cousins.
