Sandra Cloud

(From Parker Mortuary)

Sandra Kay Cloud, 78, of Galena, Kansas, passed away on October 8, 2026, after an extended illness. She was born on July 3, 1948, in Joplin, Missouri, to the late C. Wayne and B. Jean (Haverfield) Lansaw.

Sandra lived a life marked by love, generosity, and selflessness. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, and she touched the lives of many with her kind heart and steady presence. Those who knew her will remember her warm smile, her giving spirit, and the way she always made others feel welcome and cared for.

She graduated from Galena High School in 1966 and later attended Beauty School, beginning a lifelong connection to serving others through her work and talents. Sandra owned and operated Cloud Bakery, where she shared her love of baking with her community, and she also operated her own beautician business, where she brought comfort and confidence to those she served. In addition, she helped run her parents' fruit stand near the Joplin Flea Market, continuing a family tradition of hard work and dedication.

Sandra found great joy in baking all kinds of sweets, and she especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and, most importantly, her great-grandchildren. Her home and her heart were always open, and her family was the center of her world. She treasured every moment spent with those she loved, and her legacy will live on in the many memories shared by her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Samuel Cloud of Galena, Kansas; her son, David Cloud and his wife Laura of Warner, Oklahoma; her daughters, Melissa Trickett and her husband James of Fairland, Oklahoma, Cheryl Holliday and her husband Andrew of Sarcoxie, Missouri, and April Purvis and her husband Adam of Baxter Springs, Kansas; her sister, Diane Clark of Joplin, Missouri; her grandchildren, Sabastain Trickett, Tapanga Trickett, Angelica Turner, Hunter Trickett, Hugo Olmos, Amanda Olmos, Briana Purvis, Stephen Colvin, Wyatt Holliday, Baylee Holliday, and Jason Cook; and her great-grandchildren, Maddox, Remington, Lilibeth, Ariel, Arihanna, Derek, Zoey, Grabiella, Brooklyn, Kanon, Lilliahna, Trinity, Ryker, Tannon, Rayleigh, Brailynn, Blaikley, Mylah, Avah, and Mateo.
