(From Mason-Woodard Mortuary)Sam “Papa” Haddock, 77 of Chetopa Kansas passed away suddenly at his residence on October 12, 2026.
He was born March 9, 1953 in Joplin, MO to Samuel and Alice Mae (Sayre) Haddock. He is survived by loving brothers, Ed and Ronnie Haddock; a loving daughter Trudy and husband Billy Burrows of Chetopa, KS and loving Son Zack Haddock of Anderson, MO. Ed and wife Dorothy Haddock of Purcell, MO. Brother Ronnie and wife Sheila “Gay” Haddock of Golden, MO.
Sam was the loving and devoted “papa” of grandchildren Jozee Bartlett, Jacob Bartlett, Jaguar Bartlett, Shaye Phillips, Saige Haddock, Shyanne Stevens and Caden Haddock; and four great grandchildren. Sam was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Bobby Haddock.
The family will hold a committal service at a later date at Weaver Cemetery located in Oronogo, MO. Sam will be fondly remembered and loved by all that knew him.
